We are warned : from natural catastrophies to those due to human behaviour (by the way who's responsible for famines : nature or humanity ? Both ?) life on earth will be complicated and dangerous to say the least. 
But is that new ? What's new is that Jesus clearly says he will be with his disciples always, give them wisdom in speaking in front of their adversaries and protect them from utter destruction. 

 

Let's have faith then, Christ has vanquished death and stays wih us, always.
